How do you put music from Dtunes into your Ipod touch music library?

January 30th, 2012

Question by : How do you put music from Dtunes into your Ipod touch music library?
I downloaded songs on Dtunes and I was wondering how to put the music into my music library? I would like a step by step way to do it. Also I would sooner do it without a computer and putting it into my music library only using my iphone/ipod touch. If there is no way that is fine too.

Thanks so much!

God bless!

I’m not sure if its possible, but if it is, the way to do it would be to ssh into your ipod, this should explain how to do that:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rStL_jLnU0

the user name is root and the password is alpine, but you need to get your ip address for the top bar in the program and you can get that from the settings>wifi>hit the small blue arrow to the right of the network you are connected to and it should be near the top listed as IP Address.
Anyways, ssh into it and find the music files (most likely mp3 files) and copy them onto your computer. Just so you know, ssh means you are looking at the program files of your ipod, so make sure that you only move the music files by just making sure the names match up

What classical music should I start listening to?

January 21st, 2012

Question by : What classical music should I start listening to?
I really find classical music as the most soothing and beautiful music out there. I like Baroque music in particular, especially pieces like Pachelbel’s Canon in D minor and Bach’s Air for strings. I guess I also have a thing for string pieces, like Andre Rieu. If you have any suggestions as to good composers, I’d appreciate it. Thanks.

Best answer:

Answer by J.P.
handel, bach, purcell, pergolesi, telemann

go to the library, get some cd’s, figure out what you like, get more cd’s

What emo song would you consider to have the best lyrics and why?

January 18th, 2012

Question by : What emo song would you consider to have the best lyrics and why?
I am not talking about sound nor sound quality. I am talking solely about lyrics. It can be any form of emo. But I am wanting to find good emo songs with quality lyrics. What makes those lyrics quality. If it is because of a certain reason, explain that reason.

BQ: Any bands you wanna reccomend?

Best answer:

Answer by Kasey
My Chemical Romance is a really good band and put alot of meaning into their songs.
Personally i love the song “Famous Last Words” by them, the whole point being ‘dont be afraid to live life because you never know whats going to happen or when ur gonna die.’ While it sounds kind of morbid, to me it is so true. The chorus is my favorite though “I am not afraid to walk this world alone” to me that just says so much. Don’t be afraid to be alone, you have to be strong.

I also love the lyrics for the song “Riptide” by Sick Puppies.
Basicly its about living your own life the way you want to, don’t let someone else tell u how to live it, especially someone who seems like they cant even take care of themselves.

Another song, “Life is Beautiful” by Sixx: A.M.
This song really means alot to me, to me it is saying you have to experience the bad in order to truly understand the good. You have to open your eyes and accept that while things go wrong, you choke, people lie, and there is death, You can still breathe, there is still truth and there is always life. So even when ur at a funeral, don’t cry, because it just shows how life is beautiful.
Sounds kind of cheesy but oh well.

the song “Not Enough” by Our Lady Peace.
Its a really mellow song, and while the lyrics make me sad, its a good kind of sad. The guy is trying his hardest to support a girl who is just getting out of deppression, telling her that even when those voices try to say “your not strong” dont listen because u really are. But in the end, even though he would do anything, it seems like its not enough. Sad but inspiring at the same time

Well there are four songs….Hope you like them

What are good song lyrics that could be represented well in photographs?

January 15th, 2012

Question by Nicole: What are good song lyrics that could be represented well in photographs?
I have a photography project where i need to take pictures that go along with song lyrics but I’m having trouble thinking of any good ones. Any ideas?

Best answer:

Answer by Brad T
The Low Anthem – Ohio (I always thing about highways and sunsets/sunrises and cornfields)
James Brown – World Pt. 1 (this one should be easy, use pictures of bad things interlaced with good things)
Swamp Dogg – World Beyond
Symphony of Science – New And Glorious Dawn (basically Carl Sagan and Stephen put through autotune with a nice beat talking about space.)

Seriously look up those songs and the lyrics. Especially the last 3.

Q&A: How do you quote lyrics from a song in a narrative essay?

January 12th, 2012

Question by Cathy: How do you quote lyrics from a song in a narrative essay?
When a speaker is actually saying the lyrics?

Any example will be greatly appreciated.
@Finesse: yeah because songs never convey a message and all songs have nothing but swear words. I think your reply just shows the limited variety of songs you listen to.

Best answer:

Answer by Finesse
Well, how credible is the song as a source? If it’s Ke$ha, who’s career hinges on shaking glitter off her tits, it will not reflect well on your essay, it will look like you put very little thought or effort into it, and those two things do matter in getting a good grade. You have to remember that songs are art, they aren’t full of useful information, they’re about emotion and are both distinct and indistinct about it, using rhetorical devices. So it would be pretty useless, because that’s probably not the point of your essay, the emotion, and either way the song is probably not written about your book or article or play or whatever, so it’s moot.

I say don’t do it. Stop being lazy and go open a real book. Not unless the song is “I’m On a Raft” and your essay is on Huckleberry Finn.

But to answer your question, just like in any other kind of quote you write it exactly as it appears where you found it. So write it in quotes in poem style, using a / to separate stanzas.

What program dealing with Symphony sheet music do you consider to be the best?

January 9th, 2012

Question by : What program dealing with Symphony sheet music do you consider to be the best?
I am writing a Symphony on a Yamaha synthesizer. The music is saved in the midi format. But I want printable sheet music. What program do you think is the best for that purpose? Sibelius 6 is fine but the harp scores are all wrong there. Thus, I want sheet music of my music peace to be printable, according to the music rules, so that the orchestra could play it.

Best answer:

Answer by Jules Verne
Sibelius or better still MuseScore are the only realistic options.

Remember that a scanned MIDI file is by no means a finished product. It’s normal to have to edit the score extensively before it’s ready to go.

On any work like this would tend to write the score in rather than trying to import it. It will be much more legible and error free.
